Following on from his success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Russell is asked to support 2002 Perrier award winner Daniel Kitson on his national tour, taking in venues the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland during October to December.

Russell makes his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing in a 2-man showcase with fellow comic Matt Blaize. The show is a sell-out hit for the duration of the festival, gaining widespread critical acclaim for Russell.

Russell Howard launches himself onto the comedy scene and reaches the final of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny competition. At the age of 19 on only his 5th ever stand-up gig.
